Future

Below are some of my plans and aspirations for the rest of college and my future career.

What are your plans for the rest of your time at UMD?

I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in accounting and information systems. Beginning this fall, I will be taking graduate accounting courses as a part of the Plus 1 program in the Smith School of Business. Additionally, I will be completing my minor in nonprofit leadership and social innovation this fall.

What are your plans for post-graduation and your prospective career/field of interest?

I currently have internship offers to several big 4 accounting firms for summer 2023. This will allow me to pursue a career in public accounting, specifically tax, after graduation. Additionally, once I have completed my masters, I will sit for the CPA exam.

How will you incorporate what you learned in PL into your job search?

PL has taught me a lot about being a good leader to others and finding a good leader to follow. In my job search, I will look for signs of servant leadership and inclusivity to ensure that whomever I am working for values me and my work.
